Get started with Cam-Wise

Use videos you already have, or choose an automatic recording source. Cam-Wise processes your footage on this computer.

Dashboard and first start

Start on Dashboard. It summarizes the selected camera, local Review and model status, and the next suggested step. Then choose the recording route that fits your setup.

Use existing videos

Choose this route for video files already on your computer. Cam-Wise imports only the files you select.

  1. Choose videosChoose videos and select the camera for these examples.
  2. Select video filesPick the recordings you want to use from your computer.
  3. Import videosCam-Wise makes local copies. Your original files stay where they are.
  4. Analyze imported videosAfter import succeeds, choose Find review images. When the scan finishes, open Review.
About Analyze imported videos
This option is available only after a successful import. It reopens the next-step choices if you closed them. No trained model is needed to find the first motion images.

This is a one-time import of the files you picked. It does not connect or watch a folder. For new recordings that arrive automatically, use a separate folder or NAS source.

Review the images

Open Review after the scan. Look at each image and keep the examples that clearly show what you want to recognize. Skip unclear or repeated images.

Start without a model
The first motion scan and Review images do not require a trained model. Choose the action that matches the image in Review.

These are separate setup routes for recordings that arrive without choosing files one by one.

The camera sends motion recordings to Cam-Wise on your local network.
