Cam-Wise is designed around local processing and gives you control over camera data and personal models.

Local processing

Camera footage, review images, datasets, training and personal models stay on the device running Cam-Wise by default. Raw camera footage is not normally sent to Cam-Wise servers. Online services support the website, accounts, licenses, updates and support.

Secure your account and device

Choose a unique password, secure access to your email account and sign out on devices you share with others. Install Cam-Wise updates through the official website or the updater in the app.

You manage the security of your computer, home network, cameras, camera credentials and Home Assistant. Use strong, unique passwords for those systems and do not include access credentials in support messages.

Report a vulnerability

Think you have found a security issue in Cam-Wise? Email support@cam-wise.com with the affected Cam-Wise version and a short description of the issue. Do not include passwords, private keys, camera footage or personal data. Give Cam-Wise reasonable time to investigate before making details public.

Limitations

No system can guarantee absolute security. Cam-Wise is not an alarm, emergency or security service. AI may miss detections or report them incorrectly; do not use the software as the sole basis for urgent or safety-critical decisions.
