Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the Cam-Wise app or its website and account services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. What Cam-Wise does
Cam-Wise is software for local AI analysis of camera footage. The app can review images, collect examples and train personal models. Online services support accounts, licenses, updates and support. Raw camera footage is not normally sent to Cam-Wise servers.
2. Your account
Provide an email address you can access and keep your account details confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Contact support if you think someone else has gained access.
3. Free and Plus
Free gives you access to Cam-Wise’s free features. Cam-Wise Plus includes additional features described with the offer. If you subscribe to Plus, the price and subscription terms below apply.
- The first trial month is free and is available once per user.
- After the free month, Plus costs €2.99 per month, including VAT, and renews monthly.
- You can cancel during the trial month without charge.
- You can cancel Plus online through your account. If you cancel during a paid period, you keep Plus until that period ends; your account then returns to Free.
The price, term, payment method and consequences of a trial are also shown before you enter a paid Plus agreement. A paid agreement is formed only when you confirm it in the order process.
4. Cancellation and withdrawal
You can cancel Plus online through your account. Cancellation stops renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Withdrawal is a separate right. See Trial, cancellation and withdrawal for details.
5. Lawful use of cameras
You are responsible for your cameras, where they are positioned and how you use Cam-Wise. Use cameras in accordance with the rules that apply to your situation. Where possible, aim them at your own property and avoid recording visitors, neighbours, passers-by and children unnecessarily.
You must not use Cam-Wise for unlawful surveillance, stalking, harassment, discrimination or inferring sensitive traits. Do not use Cam-Wise to identify people through biometric data. Do not misuse cameras or bypass license, account or security measures. You may not resell or sublicense Cam-Wise without written permission.
6. AI results and safety
AI detections can miss events or report events that did not happen. Check important results yourself and do not base emergency or safety decisions solely on Cam-Wise. Cam-Wise is not an alarm, emergency or security service and does not guarantee that events will be detected.
You remain responsible for your computer, home network, cameras, Home Assistant and local installation. Make your own backups of local data you want to keep.
7. Right to use and ownership
Cam-Wise grants you a personal, limited and non-transferable right to use the software while you comply with these terms and your license remains valid. The software remains the property of Cam-Wise and its licensors. You may not distribute, sell, modify or reverse engineer the software, except where mandatory law allows it.
8. Updates and third-party components
Cam-Wise may provide updates for operation, security and compatibility. Install updates through the official Cam-Wise website or the updater in the app. Cam-Wise uses open-source and other third-party software. Those components remain subject to their own licenses and any accompanying copyright notices.
9. Availability, liability and complaints
Cam-Wise works to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee that the software will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Cam-Wise is not liable for indirect loss or damage caused by improper use, incorrect camera settings, network problems or missed or incorrect AI detections. This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded, including for wilful misconduct, gross negligence or mandatory consumer rights.

Gebruiksvoorwaarden
Deze voorwaarden gelden wanneer je de Cam-Wise-app of de bijbehorende website- en accountdiensten gebruikt. Door een account aan te maken of de app te gebruiken, ga je met deze voorwaarden akkoord.
1. Wat Cam-Wise doet
Cam-Wise is software voor lokale AI-analyse van camerabeelden. De app kan beelden beoordelen, voorbeelden verzamelen en persoonlijke modellen trainen. Online diensten ondersteunen onder meer accounts, licenties, updates en support. Ruwe camerabeelden worden niet standaard naar Cam-Wise-servers gestuurd.
2. Je account
Geef een e-mailadres op dat je kunt gebruiken en houd je accountgegevens vertrouwelijk. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor activiteiten die met je account plaatsvinden. Neem contact op met support als je denkt dat iemand anders toegang heeft gekregen.
3. Free en Plus
Free geeft toegang tot de gratis functies van Cam-Wise. Cam-Wise Plus bevat aanvullende functies die bij het aanbod worden beschreven. Als je Plus afsluit, gelden de prijs- en abonnementsvoorwaarden hieronder.
- De eerste proefmaand is gratis en één keer per gebruiker beschikbaar.
- Na de gratis maand kost Plus €2,99 per maand, inclusief btw, en wordt het maandelijks verlengd.
- Tijdens de proefmaand kun je opzeggen zonder kosten.
- Plus is online opzegbaar via je account. Na opzegging tijdens een betaalde periode behoud je Plus tot het einde van die periode; daarna gaat je account terug naar Free.
De prijs, looptijd, betaalwijze en gevolgen van een proefperiode worden ook getoond voordat je een betaalde Plus-overeenkomst afsluit. Een betaalde overeenkomst ontstaat pas wanneer je die in het bestelproces bevestigt.
4. Opzeggen en herroepen
Je kunt Plus online opzeggen via je account. Opzeggen beëindigt de verlenging; je toegang blijft gelden tot het einde van de betaalde periode. Herroepen is een afzonderlijk recht. Lees hoe je dat doet op de pagina Proefmaand, opzeggen en herroepen.
5. Rechtmatig gebruik van camera’s
Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor je camera’s, hun plaatsing en de manier waarop je Cam-Wise gebruikt. Gebruik camera’s volgens de regels die voor jouw situatie gelden. Richt ze waar mogelijk op je eigen terrein en voorkom onnodige opname van bezoekers, buren, voorbijgangers en kinderen.
Je mag Cam-Wise niet gebruiken voor onrechtmatige surveillance, stalking, intimidatie, discriminatie of het afleiden van gevoelige kenmerken. Gebruik Cam-Wise niet om anderen te identificeren aan de hand van biometrische gegevens. Misbruik camera’s niet en omzeil geen licentie-, account- of beveiligingsmaatregelen. Je mag Cam-Wise niet doorverkopen of sublicentiëren zonder schriftelijke toestemming.
6. AI-resultaten en veiligheid
AI-detecties kunnen gebeurtenissen missen of iets signaleren dat niet is gebeurd. Controleer belangrijke resultaten zelf en baseer geen nood- of veiligheidsbeslissingen uitsluitend op Cam-Wise. Cam-Wise is geen alarmsysteem, nooddienst of beveiligingsdienst en garandeert niet dat gebeurtenissen worden herkend.
Je blijft verantwoordelijk voor je computer, thuisnetwerk, camera’s, Home Assistant en lokale installatie. Maak zelf back-ups van lokale gegevens die je wilt bewaren.
7. Gebruiksrecht en eigendom
Cam-Wise geeft je een persoonlijk, beperkt en niet-overdraagbaar recht om de software te gebruiken zolang je je aan deze voorwaarden houdt en je licentie geldig is. De software blijft eigendom van Cam-Wise en haar licentiegevers. Je mag de software niet verspreiden, verkopen, aanpassen of reverse-engineeren, behalve voor zover dwingend recht dit toestaat.
8. Updates en onderdelen van derden
Cam-Wise kan updates leveren voor werking, beveiliging en compatibiliteit. Installeer updates via de officiële Cam-Wise-website of de updater in de app. Cam-Wise gebruikt open-sourcecomponenten en software van derden. Die onderdelen blijven onder hun eigen licenties en eventuele bijbehorende auteursrechtvermeldingen.
9. Beschikbaarheid, aansprakelijkheid en klachten
Cam-Wise werkt aan een betrouwbare dienst, maar kan niet garanderen dat de software altijd ononderbroken of foutloos werkt. Voor zover de wet dit toestaat, is Cam-Wise niet aansprakelijk voor indirecte schade of schade door onjuist gebruik, onjuiste camera-instellingen, netwerkproblemen of gemiste of foutieve AI-detecties. Deze beperking geldt niet waar aansprakelijkheid wettelijk niet mag worden uitgesloten, waaronder bij opzet, grove nalatigheid of dwingende consumentenrechten.
Heb je een klacht of vraag? Mail support@cam-wise.com. Op deze overeenkomst is Nederlands recht van toepassing, met behoud van dwingende consumentenbescherming die voor jou geldt.
