Reolink motion alerts see a lot, but understand little
Standard motion detection triggers on passing cars, shadows, rain and people walking by. If you only care about a specific situation in your own driveway or garden, most of those clips are noise. Cam-Wise adds a layer of detection that you train on your own footage.
How the Reolink route works
- Reolink detects motionYour Reolink camera keeps doing what it already does: it watches for motion.
- Reolink saves its own recordingWhen motion is detected, the camera records a clip to its supported Reolink storage, such as a microSD card in the camera.
- Cam-Wise fetches the existing recordingOn your local network, the Cam-Wise Windows app connects to the camera and retrieves the clip that is already there. It does not create a second live stream.
- Analysis runs locally on WindowsCam-Wise analyses the clip on your own PC with a local AI model. Raw footage does not have to leave your device.
- Relevant results go to reviewClips that match what you are looking for are surfaced for review; the rest stays out of your way.
- You review and improveYou confirm what matters, and Cam-Wise learns from your examples so detection fits your situation better over time.
Cam-Wise works with recordings Reolink already makes. It does not add features to your camera and does not replace the Reolink app.
